I See Sam Books are a series of early reader books developed to teach children in kindergarten to read. The original series, written in 1972, as part of Southwest Regional Educational Laboratory’s (SWRL) Beginning Reading Program (BRP), contained 52 books.

Book 52: The Ant and the Bee

Ben the ant and Bill the Bee play a game of Hide-andSeek.
Bill hides first in a net, then Ben hides in a bus.
Later Ben hides in a bed. When Bill looks for Ben in a

and together they enjoy spilled honey from the jar.

Gruffalo's Child is the sequel to The Gruffalo. The book is a wonderful book to use with the Thinking Hats Reading Strategy. I have prepared three fun worksheets focusing on the Feelings and Emotions of the characters in the story.

I was surprised at how few reading resources were available for Room on the broom, and I am keen to promote Thinking Hat Reading skills in the classroom and so I have spent a week developing a set of worksheets which teachers can download and use in the classroom.

The images in this book come from public domain resources - not from the original book.
I was amazed that there were so few teaching resources for this book and so I have written 16 Guided Reading Thinking Hat worksheets for the book.
